Nissan released three different models of VQ35 camshafts. 1) VQ35DE Early model (G1 / INT VTC) 2) VQ35DE Late model (G2/Rev-Up / INT & EXH VTC) 3) VQ35HR model (INT & EXH VTC) ■DIFFERENCES Among THREE MODELS: Since the intake cams between G1 and G2 are compatible, and No cam sensor on G1 exhaust, G2 cams can be worked with G1 cylinder head. TOMEI VG30DE(TT) Camshaft VTC Valve
The OEM intake side camshaft on the VG30DE(TT) engine came with VTC valve. The TOMEI camshaft will NOT come equipped with VTC valve. When installing the TOMEI camshaft on an engine, please remove them from the OEM camshaft and reuse them into the TOMEI camshaft. This applies only to the intake side camshaft on the VG30DE(TT) engine. Please make sure to check both the left and right bank camshaft.
Incompatibility of NVCS Cam Gear with TOMEI RB25DE(T) PROCAM for R33
The TOMEI RB25DE(T) PROCAM for R33 is incompatible with Nissan OEM NVCS cam gear. When installing the TOMEI PROCAM on an engine, please replace the OEM cam gear to TOMEI adjustable cam gear (P/N: TA302B-NS05A) for the intake side. In addition, 4 pcs of OEM cam gear bolts (P/N: 13012-D420A) and a lock washer (P/N: 13030-D420A) are required when installing the TOMEI PROCAM.
